The Joyful Week. Day 6.

Day 6 = Fairly Brutal.
The Joyful things today would be things like a beating heart (to feel the adrenalin while I try not to loose my temper and my mind), eyes that see (to look the other way), ears that hear (to listen for the sound of silence)....you get the picture.
Some days are just tough.
And that was today--well, yesterday.
But today will be better.
I hope.

Oh lady. I know your struggles are big. But you are bigger. Thinking about you lots, and sending my love.

Wow, High Five for getting through another day. Sometimes that is all we can ask for and it is enough.

One of my favorite quotes is from Elder Craig Zwick given in General Conference in 2003:

"It is the wounded Christ who leads us through our moments of difficulty. It is He who bears us up when we need more air to breathe or direction to follow or even more courage to continue. Trust in His promise of eternal life and allow peace and hope to distill upon you."

Now how this translates into everyday living I have yet to fully grasp and implement, but reading those words do tend to shed a tiny ray of light of hope, and I hope they can do that for you as well.

Robert D Halles also said these comforting words:

"There is nothing that we are enduring that Jesus does not understand, and He waits for us to go to our Heavenly Father in prayer. I testify that if we will be obedient and if we are diligent, our prayers will be answered, our problems will diminish, our fears will dissipate, light will come upon us, the darkness of despair will be dispersed, and we will be close to the Lord and feel of His love and of the comfort of the Holy Ghost."

I am sad to report that this promise does not come with a time table, so it might be a sooner or later kind of thing, with a emphasis on later which I am not a big fan of.

I have found it necessary to read these things in order to try and remember the faith I had during better times. And sometimes it is just a victory to keep on breathing in out for the day, so well done.

How did your lesson go today? Will you share the results of this week of finding Joy? Inquiring minds want to know.
