Thanks Peeps!

I knew I could count on you!
You all make me feel a little less freaky and a lot more normal....
unless, of course, we are all just a whole bunch of freaks.
Ehh, well--as long as we are in it together, right?
So, how's about I lay a really weird one on you...?
If I do, then you all should be feeling the urge to participate
and give me a crazy quirk in the comments.
(have i ever mentioned how much i just love the comment part of a blog?
no? well, me do)

All right? Here we go.

Tomorrow is February 7th.
It's a very special day.
It's the day before my big day.
Every year I clear the calendar on February 7th.
Wanna know why??
Because it is the day I give myself the very best present ever...
an entire day of cleaning.
I LOVE IT!
So, tomorrow think of me in all my quirkiness just cleaning my little heart out
here at the homestead.

I'll be a happy girl.
:o)

AFTER you get up and go running with me- right?? Actually, Dallin was just asking today if he could play with Grant so how's about I take him off of your hands in the afternoon (cuz I HAVE to play some vb in the am) and then you can clean your little heart out?! We can discuss details in the morning.

I spent all day Saturday cleaning but I was thwarted in several ways. Firstly my 11 year old had 3 friends over and they spent the day making a commercial which involved several messy things including squirting water around in my living room. I mostly just tried to clean where they weren't but it was annoying when they happened to wander into parts I had already cleaned.
Secondly, I was cleaning because half of my household was gone, namely the male half and so they were out of my hair. But I HATE the part of overnight outings when they return and dump all of their stuff onto my beautifully cleaned house. Now this is probably my mistake for having cleaned it all knowing they would do this. And I was able to just put most of it right away and restore the beautiful cleanliness, but still most aggravating.
And I have been so busy that it has been several weeks since I managed to get everything where it is suppose to be.

But oh well, at least it was nice for the hour before they came home.

Happy cleaning tomorrow.

Sorry, but I'm just not feeling you on this one. Maybe, if all of the other obligations went away for an entire day, I could get in the zone. But on the other hand, if all of the other distractions went away, I think I'd prefer to go for a really long run, and then go shopping. But hey, to each their own, right?

Cleaning your house the day before your birthday makes total sense to me. Then on your big day you have more time to relax. Genius! Happy cleaning!

So does this mean that you give the same kind of b-day present to others that you give to yourself?
There are times that I really get into the groove of cleaning and I love it. Mostly the finished product but when you have a house full of little kids it is hard to get into that groove and once you do you get interpted. I am talking of myself of coarse. I wish I loved cleaning as much as you that way I would always be happy because I feel like that is all I do. Oh well maybe when they get a little older.
I'm so glad that you can take some time off for your self. And here is a early happy birthday wish for you. Yes we are planning on comming down south this month or early next. We have talked about the week after Howard and Meagan come. That's Presidents day weekend they are comming isn't it? So that would make it the weekend of the 25th. I have told David that when we do come I want to go on Thurs. and leave Monday. That wouldn't be too long would it? I really need more that what we did last time.

Ah. Hope your birthday was good. I recently had one myself. It stunk. Maybe because I didn't clean my house the day before?
